An expression
Meeting of Minds

For so long women have fought for a seat at the table. Today, I am slowly sipping my flat white observing the many talented, brilliant, wise, knowledgeable women leaving the room.
I am one of them.
We are hard working, valuable talent. We are done slamming our fists on a table. We have kicked open the last door.
I have a sneaky suspicion a quiet movement is gaining momentum. Not an uproar. Not a riot. Just a gentle, powerful display of backbone and audacity.
Are you about to leave a room? Or standing in front of the umpteenth closed door?
I have started a series of one on one chats called Meeting of Minds.
The idea came on a random Tuesday. I've struck up a conversation with a woman I've never met.
There was a sameness. A mirrored willingness to move, to jump, to advance, but the obstacles barricading possibilities left us exhausted.
It wasn't therapy. It wasn't counseling. She didn't become my mentor. We just shared ideas, support, strategies and networking contacts. I walked away feeling
- Hopeful
- Affirmed
- Energized
- Empowered
- Lighter
It suddenly made sense to me: Diving and digging to the root of things, sitting across the table from a woman who sees you. Therein lies the wealth.
So I'm offering to sit across the table. To listen. Reflect. Mirror.
I have a feeling you don't need answers. Just someone to help you see what you already know.
Or to shake you a little.
Or to put you in touch with the right person.
Let's meet,
Milan
