An expression
Speaking

For a long time I was weighed down by imposter syndrome. Why would anyone want to listen to what I have to say?
Until I flipped the script.
If I took the time to really listen, what needs to be said in this room?
We've lived for a long time in a world that places enormous value on expertise, qualifications, titles and the position you hold around the boardroom table.
Add to that the increasingly desperate pursuit of followers, visibility and an audience that converts into revenue, and it's no wonder we've become a little tense. A little hurried. A little obsessed with proving that we know what we're talking about.
But I think something is shifting.
We're beginning to place value on a different kind of knowledge.
The wisdom that comes from lived experience.
The insight earned through the hard grind and the close calls.
The perspective that only arrives after getting a few things wrong.
And the ability to see — and really hear — another human being.
That's the space I speak from.
My keynotes explore motherhood, parenthood, emotional wellbeing in children, depression, dyslexia, entrepreneurship, audacity, identity and the wonderfully complicated business of being human.
I don't speak from a pedestal.
I speak from the middle of it.
And I believe the best talks don't tell people what to think. They give them something worth thinking about.
If you're looking for a speaker, keynote presenter or podcast host who brings lived experience, perspective, humour and a healthy dose of honesty to the room, I'd love to hear from you.
